The Greytown Apple Harvest Festival

We are a little bit excited right now - because the 2024 Greytown Apple Harvest Festival at Molewood Orchard starts Saturday 27th of April at 10am!

Come along for the opening ceremony at 10.00 am at the Farley Avenue entrance. The festival will be formally opened by our newly appointed* town crier. We are also thrilled to welcome back Greytown's Scallyrag Border Morris troupe, come to check out whether their winter wassail ceremony in July was successful in waking up the trees, scaring off evil spirits and encouraging the trees to yield a good crop in the coming year.

The map is below, plus details about access.

When we were kids, Greytown was involved in this thing called Top Town - it was actually a kind of game show, where small towns competed against each other in sports and in nutty challenges.

We had no idea about any of that as kids (check the pics below, we were really little!), but what we do remember is the awesome t-shirts Greytown developed for Top Town, with this big red apple logo smack bang in the middle.

And so in the spirit of a wee bit of nostalgia, but also a great love for Greytown and for the wonder of nature’s bounty, we are really excited to be hosting the Greytown Apple Harvest Festival this year.

>> 10am to 3pm, Saturday 27th of April.
>> 17 Mole St Greytown
>> Free entry
>> If Saturday is rainy, then the postponement day is Sunday the 28th.
>> There will be all sorts of cool stuff, loads of stalls and food trucks, games, pony rides, cider and fruit wine tasting.
>>And of course you can pick your own apples for $2kg :)

Isn't it time you made a delicious apple pie? Or some chutney? Or a funky new cocktail? Well - the Greytown Apple Harvest Festival would be a great place to start!

PLUS: there will also be a great colouring competition for the kids! Bring the kids along during the school holidays, and pick up a colouring competition from The White Swan, The Offering and Cuckoo, where you can colour in the Molewood Mole, and go in the draw for some great prizes. Getting There

The best way to visit is to park in town and walk; there will be pedestrian access on the day from Farley Ave, off West St - it is an easy walk from Main Street and there is public parking opposite the supermarket on West St and along the road. You can also drive to the orchard at 17 Mole St; parking is limited, but for those who need it, there is on-site parking and parking along the roads.
